Massive fire at Vrindavan hotel during inauguration; 30 feared trapped, crane used in rescue

A massive fire broke out at Hotel Siddhi Vinayak in Vrindavan, Mathura district, on Wednesday, with around 30 people feared to have been trapped inside. Fire brigade teams and local authorities rushed to the spot soon after receiving information. Visuals from the scene showed people stranded on the hotel terrace being rescued with the help of a crane as thick smoke engulfed the building.

The incident reportedly occurred during the hotel’s inauguration ceremony earlier in the day. According to initial accounts, the fire may have been triggered by a short circuit, though the exact cause is yet to be officially confirmed. The sudden blaze led to panic and chaos among guests and staff present at the venue.

Preliminary reports indicate that a woman and two children sustained burn injuries in the incident. Rescue and relief operations were underway at the time of reporting, with administrative officials and fire department personnel continuing efforts to evacuate those trapped and bring the situation under control.
