Massive fire breaks out in a car parts godown near Lalbazar. Intially, 6 fire engines at spot but fire officials indicates that the number may increase. There were chemicals inside the godown which is making it difficult for the fire department to control the fire.
Preliminary estimation indicates fire due to short circuit from AC machine. The fire has broken on the first floor of the godown. The entire area along R.N Mukherjee Road is covered in huge smoke.
Firefighters are working by wearing special masks along with oxygen cylinders. Visibility is very low due to the smoke. Fire brigade is trying to bring the fire under control.
