A significant fire broke out in Rashmi Towers situated in Sector V, originating from an electrical bulb making plastic items in one of the godowns. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon, prompting swift action from the fire department, which dispatched four fire engines to the location to douse fire.
Firefighters, equipped with handkerchiefs to shield themselves from the thick smoke, battled the fire that originated in two godowns near Webel Junction, Sector Five. The affected godowns primarily stored equipment for the manufacturing of electric bulbs.
The situation is under control now, however the exact cause of the blaze remains unknown at the moment.
