Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim marked his 65th birthday on Monday, receiving warm wishes and celebrations from Trinamool Congress supporters in his residence area, Chetla. The festivities coincided with Hakim's participation in an event commemorating the 27th anniversary of the Trinamool Congress.

He asserted that in the face of the BJP, Trinamool Congress stands as the credible opposition, recounting the extensive struggle that led to the ousting of the 34-year-old Left government.
Hakim acknowledged Mamata Banerjee's unwavering commitment, stating that the party has endured and succeeded through numerous movements, highlighting the challenges faced and conquered.
