NCP leader Baba Siddique shot multiple times and dies in Mumbai Hospital
An attempt to disrupt communal harmony was thwarted in Chirkunda, Dhanbad district on Tuesday when a piece of meat was found in the Mahavir Temple of CMW Colony, Dumarkunda South Panchayat. Thanks to the swift action of local residents and police, the situation was brought under control. Four suspects have been detained by the authorities, and a police force has been deployed in the area to ensure peace.
The incident sparked anger among locals, who immediately informed Mukhiya representative Ajay Paswan. Paswan, along with the Chirkunda police, worked to pacify the crowd. Station in-charge Ramji Rai arrived at the temple with a police force and removed the offending piece of meat. He urged locals to remain calm, assuring them that swift action would be taken.
Despite initial attempts to calm tensions, the situation escalated when a group of women from another community began verbally abusing the crowd in the presence of police officers, causing further unrest. SDPO Rajat Manik Bakhla organized a meeting with local leaders, where complaints were heard and assurances were made.
Following a written complaint from local leader Ramji Sao, officials pledged a full investigation. With the police's strong presence, tensions eased, and the locals dispersed.
