Domkal Police in Murshidabad district conducted a special operation from the night of June 29 to the early hours of June 30, based on information received from confidential sources. The operation was carried out in the Paschim Kuchiyamora area, leading to the arrest of one individual and the recovery of a significant quantity of illegal arms and ammunition.
The arrested person has been identified as Arab Ali alias Badar. A specific case has been registered against him. According to police sources, the seized items from his possession include one country-made .303 long-range rifle, two country-made 12-bore long-range guns, and one country-made advanced 7 mm pistol with a magazine. In addition, four rounds of .303 cartridges, twenty rounds of 12-bore cartridges, and four live rounds of 7 mm cartridges were also recovered.
Police are continuing the investigation to trace the origin of the seized arms and determine any potential connections. Officials have stated that the operation was part of a focused effort to crack down on the circulation of illegal firearms in the region.
