Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti had a narrow escape from a car accident that occurred during her journey to Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday. Mufti, along with her security personnel, was in the car when it collided with a civilian vehicle at Sangam.
Fortunately, she escaped unharmed, and there were no reported injuries to Mufti or her security personnel. The accident happened while she was en route to Khanabal to meet victims of a recent fire incident, and despite the ordeal, she continued with her scheduled visit.
National Conference leader Omar Abdullah expressed relief at Mufti's well-being and called for a government inquiry into the circumstances of the accident. Abdullah emphasized the importance of addressing any security gaps that might have contributed to the incident.
Glad to hear that @MehboobaMufti Sahiba escaped injury in what could have been a very serious incident. I expect the government to enquire in to the circumstances of the accident. Any gaps in her security that contributed to this accident must be addressed immediately. https://t.co/ELXb2sHhNt
