Mehbooba Mufti's Navagraha temple a 'gimmick', says BJP

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti offered prayers at the Navagraha temple during her visit to Poonch district.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief, who was on a two-day visit to Poonch district, reached the Navagraha temple. She went around the entire temple and also performed Jal Abhishek of the Shivling. She also offered flowers to the statue of Bani Yashpal Sharma in the temple premises.

Mehbooba Mufti's visit to the temple did not go down well with the Jammu and Kashmir wing of the BJP, which dismissed her visit to the temple as a political stunt. Ranbir Singh Pathania, BJP's Jammu and Kashmir unit spokesperson said, "In 2008, Mehbooba Mufti and her party opposed the allotment of land to the Shri Amarnath Ji shrine board.
