A milk truck leak in Chandithala, Hooghly, caused chaos and violence early this morning. Residents armed with drums, bottles, and pots scrambled to collect the leaking milk, leaving not a drop behind. The incident coincides with the holy month of Shravana, during which many people worship Lord Shiva and need milk for rituals.
The milk tanker was en route to Kolkata when it began leaking. The driver stopped the vehicle near Chanditala market, and soon, locals noticed the milk spilling out. People quickly gathered with various containers to collect the free milk. The scene turned chaotic as everyone tried to get their share, leading to pushing and shoving.
Chandana Malik, a resident, remarked, “Everything has happened by Baba's grace. Baba wanted to donate milk so Baba did it.” Another woman added, “The milk car has leaked. I have brought a bottle to take milk.”
