Minor girl gang-raped by boyfriend, his two friends while doing pandal hopping in Bengal

Horrific news has surfaced from West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, where a 9th-class girl was reportedly gang-raped by her boyfriend and his two other friends. The gruesome crime took place on the night of Mahaashtami, 30th September, while the victim and cilprits were out for pandal hopping. As per reports, the girl had come to the Baruipur Kamalgazi bypass after visiting the idol at the Baruipur Shasan Balak Sangh.

A month earlier, the victim came in contact with a minor from Baruipur on social media. They then developed a love affair over the phone. Trusting that relationship, the victim boarded her boyfriend's bike from the Baruipur bypass to visit the pandals. Besides her boyfriend, two of his friends were also on the bike. Her boyfriend took the victim from the Baruipur Shasan bypass directly to the Begumpur Katakhal bypass in the Baruipur East Assembly constituency.

There, the victim was allegedly given a cold drink and aphrodisiac pills. Then, from the Begumpur Katakhal bypass, her boyfriend entered a secluded alley off the northbound road and raped the victim along with his friends. The victim fell ill on the morning of October 1st. After questioning her, the Baruipur police arrested one of her friends on the 4th.
