On the night of Chaturthi during Durga Puja, an alleged attack by miscreants occurred at the Howrah Mallick Phatak Government Bus Depot, reportedly motivated by preventing alcohol consumption and theft. The attack led to the serious injury of a security guard, and the assailants used bricks as projectiles, causing damage to a government bus.
