Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A quiet rented room in Hooghly distrct;s Dankuni Municipality Ward 9 Subhashpalli area turned into a scene of horror today when the decomposed body of 33-year-old Navneet Jha was discovered inside the locked bathroom from his rented house. The young private company employee had been missing since Saturday, last seen by neighbours in the locality. When landlord Raju Sengupta came to collect rent and got no answer despite repeated knocks, alarm bells rang. The door stayed bolted from inside, so he became suspicious and called Dankuni police.
Officers arrives swiftly and broke the locked door, further found the grim sight—Navneet’s body lying on the toilet floor, primary estimate indicates already two to three days old and giving off a strong smell that left even seasoned cops shaken. Local councillor & Deputy Mayor/Vice Chairman of Dankuni Muncipality Prakash Raha rushed to the spot and confirmed the victim lived alone in the single room on the ground floor. Police carefully removed the body and sent it for post-mortem to find out the exact cause—whether it was suicide, murder, or a sudden health crisis.
No suicide note has been found, and nothing in the room appeared disturbed, adding to the mystery. Neighbours say Navneet was friendly and a good human being, As news spread, locals buzzed with fear. Dankuni police have started a detailed probe, trying to contact the victim's family and checking his phone records. Until the post-mortem report arrives, every possibility remains open. For now, a simple rented room has become the centre of a chilling puzzle that has left an entire neighbourhood searching for answers.
