Missing voters trigger public notices as blo fails to trace 55 names in Chapdani and Baidyabati

A series of missing voter reports has surfaced from the Chapdani Assembly constituency after the BLO failed to identify 25 voters at booth number 111 and 30 voters at booth number 112. Following procedure, the BLO put up a public notice in the area. A similar situation unfolded in two booths of ward number 22 in Baidyabati Municipality, where several listed voters could not be located despite repeated visits.

Officials said the BLO visited the areas three times but found no trace of the voters. As per Election Commission guidelines, when a voter is untraceable, the BLO must issue a public notice, which was carried out at various locations. The BLA accompanying the BLO also failed to identify any of the missing voters.

Locals pointed out that if a voter is genuine, either they or their family members should be living in the area. In these cases, no such presence was found. Residents said that genuine voter names should be add
