Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Parents whose children were not admitted to Modern High School in Kolkata have reported receiving suspicious emails offering “management quota admission” for a fee of ₹3.75 lakh. The emails, carrying the school’s name in the subject line, falsely promise guaranteed admission and have been flagged as a scam.
According to several parents, admission form data for the 2026 session was leaked, leading to targeted fraudulent emails. The school has issued a caution notice on social media and acknowledged that the data leak occurred due to an internal issue. The matter is expected to be taken up with the Kolkata Police Cyber Cell for further investigation.
