The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its manifesto for the upcoming general elections on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti. Named 'Modi ki Guarantee' or the Sankalp Patra, the manifesto was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president J P Nadda, and other prominent leaders.
The BJP's manifesto focuses on 14 promises, with a strong emphasis on empowering women, uplifting youth, and supporting the poor. It aims to target GYAN-- Gareeb (poor), Yuva (youth), Annadaata (farmers), and Nari (women).
The BJP had appointed a 27-member manifesto committee headed by defence minister Rajnath Singh that met twice to deliberate on its contents after the party had launched multiple exercises, including vans sent across the country and social media campaigns, to seek people's suggestions.
