In a public address in Rishikesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated his government's unwavering commitment to combating terrorism, asserting that under the "strong Modi government," terrorists are being targeted effectively. Modi emphasized the necessity of a robust administration, stating, "Under this strong government, atankwaadiyon ko ghar mein ghus ke mara jata hai (our forces are killing terrorists on their own turf)." He underscored the significance of decisive action against terrorism, particularly in maintaining national security and integrity.
Modi also outlined achievements of the BJP government, including infrastructure advancements in Uttarakhand, such as the ongoing Rishikesh-Karanprayag railway line project and improved connectivity between Delhi and Dehradun. Additionally, he highlighted legislative reforms addressing social issues, such as the abolition of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and laws against triple talaq. The Prime Minister emphasized the government's commitment to inclusive governance, exemplified by women's reservation in legislative bodies and implementation of the One Rank One Pension scheme, benefiting ex-servicemen.
