The 2025 monsoon session of Parliament will begin on July 21 and continue until August 12, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Wednesday. This will be the second session of Parliament this year and will run for a total of 23 days.
The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, finalized the schedule. The session is expected to witness the introduction of key legislative bills and extensive discussions on critical national issues such as security, the economy, and Operation Sindoor.
Addressing queries about the opposition’s call for a special session on Operation Sindoor, Rijiju stated that the matter could be taken up during the upcoming monsoon session under existing parliamentary rules.
