The Moradabad administration on Monday demolished the Hazrat Sultan Shah shrine located on Kanth Road after an investigation ordered by District Magistrate Dr. Rajendra Pensiya concluded that the structure had been constructed illegally. A joint team of police and administrative officials carried out the demolition using bulldozers and removed the entire unauthorized structure.
According to officials, the shrine was situated alongside Kanth Road and permanent constructions had gradually developed around it. Following complaints regarding the structure, the district administration initiated an inquiry. The investigation found that the construction did not have the required authorization, prompting officials to take action against the structure.
On Monday, police and administrative personnel arrived at the site and conducted the demolition operation under security arrangements. Authorities removed all portions of the structure, including the built-up sections inside the premises. Officials stated that the action was taken on the basis of the findings of the inquiry and in accordance with applicable land-use regulations.
