CM Mamata to visit Darjeeling ahead of bypolls, key GTA meeting on cards
In Etah district, Uttar Pradesh, a 35-year-old woman named Alka was murdered by a hitman she hired to kill her own daughter. The twist in this tragic story is that the hitman, 38-year-old Subhash Singh, was actually in a romantic relationship with the 17-year-old daughter, which Alka was unaware of. Alka’s body was discovered on October 6 in a millet field, prompting police investigations that revealed the harrowing details of the case.
Alka's frustration with her daughter's behavior intensified when she discovered the teenager's romantic entanglements. The daughter had previously eloped with a local boy, leading Alka to send her to her maternal home in Farrukhabad. During this time, the daughter began a phone relationship with Subhash, which her mother later uncovered. Feeling humiliated and desperate, Alka contacted Subhash on September 27 and offered him ₹50,000 to kill her daughter.
Upon learning of Alka's plan, Subhash informed the daughter rather than proceeding with the murder. In a shocking turn of events, the daughter proposed that Subhash kill her mother instead, promising to marry him if he did. They conspired together, and Subhash sent Alka staged photos of her daughter's murder to mislead her.
On the day of the murder, Alka was lured to a secluded area in Etah, where she was strangled by Subhash and her daughter. After disposing of her body in a millet field, the duo attempted to cover their tracks. However, police investigations quickly unraveled the plot, leading to the arrest of both Subhash and the daughter, who confessed to their roles in the crime during questioning.
