A heart-wrenching incident has surfaced from Siphiya village under the Bondi police station area of Bahraich, where a woman allegedly strangled her three-month-old son to death following a domestic dispute. The incident has left the local community in shock.
According to police, the accused woman, Shaheen, was upset after her insistence on going to her parents’ home was not immediately met. Her husband Salman stated that he had assured her she would be dropped at her parental home after a few days, when he was scheduled to travel to Mumbai. After killing the infant, Shaheen allegedly attempted to take her own life by hanging. However, family members broke open the door in time and managed to save her, preventing another tragedy.
Police have taken the child’s body into custody and sent it for further legal procedures. The accused mother is currently being interrogated, and authorities said an investigation is underway to ascertain all circumstances surrounding the incident.
