Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
In a significant and thought-provoking appeal ahead of the upcoming festival of Bakrid, Nakhoda Mosque's prominent cleric Maulana Mohammad Shafiq has urged the Muslim community to exercise prudence and strictly adhere to the law of the land. Addressing the community, the Maulana counselled believers to choose smaller animals for the traditional ritual sacrifice instead of larger cattle.
He emphasized that respecting local sentiments, legal regulations, and maintain harmony should be paramount for the community during religious observations. The Maulana highlighted that opting for smaller animals carries profound socio-economic benefits alongside promoting communal safety.
He stated that investing in smaller livestock would directly boost the rural agrarian economy and strengthen the financial resilience of fellow Muslim brethren who are actively involved in small-scale animal husbandry. Furthermore, he noted that such a cautious approach acts as a preventive shield, ensuring that no citizens fall victim to volatile situations, social friction, or incidents of mob lynching.
