NCP leader Baba Siddique shot multiple times and dies in Mumbai Hospital
Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) met in New Delhi on Wednesday to deliberate on government formation. This meeting followed the coalition's victory in the Lok Sabha elections, securing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third term.
The NDA plans to meet President Droupadi Murmu later in the day to stake their claim to form the government under Modi's leadership.
Attendees at the meeting included TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, JD(U) leader and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde, and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan, along with senior BJP leaders. The TDP, JD(U), Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and LJP (Ram Vilas) won 16, 12, seven, and five seats respectively, playing a crucial role in the government formation.
