The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially declared the results of the NEET PG 2025 examination. The announcement marks a crucial turning point for thousands of medical graduates across the country, as this national-level exam is the gateway to securing admission into prestigious postgraduate medical programs such as MD, MS, DNB, DrNB, and PG Diploma courses.
The NEET PG 2025 examination was successfully conducted on August 3, 2025, in a single shift across various centers in India. With an incredibly high number of students competing for a limited number of seats, the declaration of results is a moment of great significance for the medical fraternity, as it determines the merit positions and future academic trajectories of aspirants.
Along with the results, NBEMS has also released the official cut-off scores for different categories, based on the percentile criteria mentioned in the information bulletin. The minimum qualifying marks are set at the 50th percentile for General/EWS candidates (276 marks), the 45th percentile for General PwBD candidates (255 marks), and the 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates, including PwBD (235 marks).
Candidates can now check their individual results and their overall NEET PG 2025 Rank directly on the official NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in. The results include the marks scored out of a total of 800, which is the primary determinant of their merit position in the competitive examination.
To make the process seamless, NBEMS has provided a clear step-by-step guide for candidates to check and download their scorecards. They can simply visit the official website, click on the "NEET PG 2025 Result" link, enter their registration number, date of birth, and other login details, and submit the information to view their results. Candidates are advised to download and print their scorecards for future reference during the admission process.
Those who have successfully qualified by meeting the cut-off scores will now have to prepare for the upcoming counseling process. This crucial phase is coordinated by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and various state-level authorities. Authorities have also issued a warning that at the time of admission, each candidate’s MBBS aggregate marks or FMGE scores will be verified, and any discrepancies or false claims may lead to the cancellation of their candidature.
