BJP and TMC are face-to-face over Nandigram Day. On March 14, 2007, during the Left Front regime, several local people were killed in police firing. Trinamool Congress leaders and BJP leaders are taking out a procession in Nandigram on Tuesday the anniversary of the horrific incident.
Tributes were paid by BJP to the martyrs under the leadership of Suvendu Adhikari following the order of the Calcutta High Court. On this occasion, Adhikari said, "CPM is cleaned, aunt and nephew will also meet the same fate soon".
"Will come again next year on March 14, 2024. At that time the nephew will also be inside", he further added launching an attack on TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee.
Suvendu Adhikari was given the opportunity to garland the martyr's bed of Nandigram first. After that, Minister of State for Finance Chandrima Bhattacharya along with other TMC leaders garlanded the Shaheed Bedi. She fiercely attacked BJP and Suvendu Adhikari.
