New Delhi-Deoghar Indigo flight 6E 6191 diverted and made an emergency landing at Lucknow airport around 12:00 PM today.
Passenger Vijay Kumar said that after landing at Lucknow airport, the passengers were made to sit in the plane for half an hour and CRPF jawans in large numbers surrounded the plane after the passengers got off the plane and were shifted to the bus.
A team of firefighters and three ambulances were also called. Sniffer dogs searched luggage and belongings as well as passengers, the passenger added. He added that even luggage bags stored in the plane's cabin were searched by sniffers.
Vijay Kumar said they didn't know what was happening until they got to know the story of the emergency landing after boarding the plane. After staying in Lucknow for two hours, the flight took off for Deoghar and landed at 4 pm.
An interview with AAI director Sandeep Dhingra confirmed the delay in Deoghar. Responding to the reason for the emergency landing, he replied, the Lucknow Aviation Authority knows better.
