Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, the National President of the All India Muslim Jamaat in Bareilly, has declared that celebrating the New Year is not justified and falls under wasteful expenditure and corruption according to Shariat.
Razvi emphasized that such actions are illegitimate, urging Muslim youth to abstain from New Year celebrations and adhere to the charges outlined by Shariat. He warned that the organization would take strict measures to stop any reported New Year festivities, stating that participation in such programs could result in serious consequences on the Day of Judgment.
Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi underscored that the arrival of the new year is not a cause for happiness but a reminder of the reduction of one year from our lives. He appealed to Muslim youth to avoid participating in New Year celebrations, cautioning that involvement in fraudulent programs or spending money on such occasions would be accountable to God.
The National President emphasized that information about New Year celebrations would prompt strict interventions by Muslim Jamaat workers to prevent the illegitimate gatherings.
