A newborn baby was discovered abandoned in a bucket placed on a garbage heap in Topsia, raising serious concerns among the local community. The incident occurred early Friday morning when residents of Roycharan Pal Lane noticed a bucket lying unusually in the area. Upon investigating, they found the newborn inside the bucket, which immediately led to a wave of alarm among the locals.
The locals contacted the police, and officers from the Topsia Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after the discovery. The baby was rescued and taken into care. Authorities promptly initiated an investigation into the matter to determine the identity of the individuals responsible for abandoning the child.
During the investigation, residents revealed they had seen a young couple arriving on a motorcycle and dropping off the bucket. However, no one witnessed the exact moment they placed the baby inside.
