Vandalism in Howrah over controversial painting during Durga Puja; 30 arrested
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday raided the premises of a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Gujarat's Gandhidham as it launched a massive crackdown at over 70 locations in eight states.
The tours are being conducted in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, a report mentioned.
According to sources, Kulwinder was a long-time associate of Bishnoi. There were also cases against him of providing shelter to people from the Bishnoi gang. NIA sources revealed that Kulwinder is also connected to some international drug syndicates, the report added.
The ongoing raid is related to the investigation of a case registered by the agency against gangsters and their crime syndicates. This is the fourth such round of raids the agency has conducted, the report said.
