Nigerian man arrested at Saharsa Junction railway station

Passengers at Saharsa Junction shocked when GRP suddenly stopped a train and pulled out a Nigerian man travelling without any valid documents. The man, who says he is from Nigeria, could not show a passport, visa, or any paper proving he entered India legally. Joint teams of GRP (Government Railway Police) and local Saharsa Police quickly took him into custody and started questioning him.

The man was travelling towards Purnia district's Banmankhi when officers boarded the train for a routine check. When they asked for his travel documents, he had nothing to show. Police say he could not properly explain how or when he entered India. Right now he is in police custody at Saharsa station while officers contact immigration authorities and check if he is part of any larger illegal entry network.

Railway stations in Bihar have become extra alert after several cases of foreign nationals entering without papers. Police are urging everyone to always carry valid ID and travel documents. Further investigation is on to find out the man’s real identity, route, and purpose of visit.
