"Kolkata to get Water Metro connectivity," says Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari
Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma and Howrah Police Commissioner Praveen Tripathi have shared details of the diversion plan for night-time entry of goods vehicles from Howrah to Kolkata, prompted by the ongoing construction on the Kona Expressway. Due to the Kona Expressway corridor work, from August 10 onwards, goods vehicles travelling from Howrah towards the Second Hooghly Bridge (Vidyasagar Setu) will be diverted during night hours. As per the new plan, these vehicles will now enter Kolkata and the port area via Nivedita Setu, Dunlop, and B.T. Road. This diversion rule will also apply to trucks entering and exiting the Posta area.
