Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget on July 23. This will be the first union budget of the Modi 3.0 government. The parliament session will begin a day earlier, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju announced on Saturday. The monsoon session is scheduled to end on August 12.

Sitharaman had presented the interim Budget in February because it was a Lok Sabha election year. She will be presenting her 7th consecutive Budget, becoming the first finance minister in history to do so, surpassing the previous record set by Morarji Desai.
The session is expected to be stormy, as was evident during the session of President Draupadi Murmu's motion of thanks. Rahul Gandhi-led opposition MPs have staged walk-outs, raised slogans, and even went on to protest outside the Parliament over the NEET paper leak row.
