Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari made a significant announcement during his one-day visit to Jaunpur, arriving at 2:23 pm on Friday. Gadkari unveiled ten major projects totaling approximately Rs 10,000 crores for the district, addressing a large public gathering. Among the projects, Gadkari highlighted the initiation of three bypasses from Jaunpur to Prayagraj, with construction set to commence by June 24. Additionally, plans for strengthening city roads, installing RCC service lanes and street lights, and undertaking development near Jaunpur station were outlined.
Rajya Sabha MP Seema Dwivedi lauded Gadkari's contributions to Jaunpur's infrastructure, expressing confidence that the newly unveiled projects would significantly improve road conditions in the district. State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Girish Yadav also commended Gadkari's efforts, citing the fulfillment of demands for a ring road in Machhilishahr and initiatives to alleviate traffic congestion in Jaunpur. With Gadkari's commitment to transforming Jaunpur into a city akin to Mumbai, the announcement of these projects marks a substantial step towards fulfilling this vision.
