 Nitish Kumar's emotional exit -

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tendered his resignation on Sunday, bringing an end to the Mahagathbandhan government in the state. In a press interaction outside the Raj Bhavan, Kumar addressed accusations of 'opportunistic politics' leveled against him by the INDIA bloc, expressing his disappointment with the member parties. He stated, "I was hurt because of that. People in the party were also hurt by the behavior. Because of that, I had stopped talking." Nitish Kumar, set to take oath again for the ninth time as Chief Minister, will now align with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies, marking the return of the NDA government in Bihar.

Following Nitish Kumar's resignation, BJP leaders are scheduled to visit his residence, with reports indicating his oath-taking ceremony at 5 pm today. This move officially concludes the Mahagathbandhan government's reign in Bihar and underscores Nitish Kumar's fourth shift in political allegiance. Shedding light on his decision, Kumar shared, "This situation came because everything was not going well...I was taking opinion from everyone. I listened to all of them. Today I have resigned and ended the government." The Chief Minister cited dissatisfaction with the functioning of the INDIA Bloc as a significant factor in his resignation, emphasizing the lack of cohesion within the alliance.
