A meeting was convened between the Hon’ble Observers and senior officers of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) along with the Police Administration of the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate to review preparedness for the upcoming electoral process. The discussion focused on strengthening coordination among agencies to ensure that the elections are conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
During the meeting, officials reviewed several key operational aspects including deployment strategies of security forces, area domination plans and vulnerability mapping of sensitive locations. Emphasis was placed on enhancing coordination between CAPF personnel and the local police to maintain law and order throughout the electoral period.
The Observers directed officers to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India and maintain heightened vigilance to prevent any unlawful or disruptive activities. They also instructed officials to ensure prompt response to public complaints and effective enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct during the election period.
Senior officers of the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate briefed the Observers about the measures already taken to strengthen security arrangements. They assured that necessary steps are being implemented to maintain peace, uphold law and order, and build confidence among voters ahead of the electoral process.
