A youth died on the spot and another sustained serious injuries after a speeding motorcycle collided head-on with a bus near Yogachak village under Kawakole police station in Nawada district on Wednesday. The bus was en route from Kawakole to Nawada when the motorcycle, approaching at high speed from the opposite direction, crashed directly into it. The collision caused visible damage to the front of the bus. The identity of the deceased youth is yet to be ascertained, while the injured has been taken to a hospital with help from local residents.
According to eyewitnesses, the impact threw both riders off the motorcycle, resulting in the immediate death of one and critical injuries to the other. Villagers who witnessed the incident informed the police and assisted in sending the injured to a nearby hospital. However, police had not arrived at the scene by the time of reporting. Locals said, "Bus Kawakole se Nawada ki or ja rahi thi. Is beech vipreet disha se aayi bike ne seedhi takkar maar di." The collision disrupted normal vehicular movement, and several buses and other vehicles remained stuck on the route for hours.
