One teenager dead, two critical in bomb blast ahead of Abhishek Banerjee's rally in Hoogly

A tragic incident occurred in Pandua, Hooghly, just before Abhishek Banerjee's rally today. The incident took place in Tinna Netaji Pally Colony of Pandua in Hooghly district. One teenager died in the blast another teenager's hand has blown off. The two injured have been rushed to Chunchura Imambara Hospital for treatment and are critical.

Local sources report that the explosion happened while a group of teenagers was playing on the banks of a pond in Pandua's Netaji Colony area.

As the Hooghly Lok Sabha constituency prepares for elections on May 20, the Pandua police are actively investigating the incident to ascertain whether there were any stockpiled explosives in the area.
