Orange Army's record win on Hanuman Janmotsav, beats PBKS by 8 wickets; Abhishek Sharma 141(55)

India is celebrating Hanuman Janmotsav on Saturday and IPL has brought us something that will be talked about for ages. Orangy Army aka the Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the 246-run target with 8 wickets in hand and 9 balls to spare. The match was nothing less than a boundary frenzy with 44 fours and 30 sixes in both innings.

Abhishek Sharma steals the show with his maiden IPL ton as he made 141 in just 55 balls smashing the Punjab bowlers at a strike rate of 256.36. He hit 14 fours and 10 sixes. Travis Head didn't mince his attack and scored 66(37) playing a key role in the astonishing opening partnership of 171 for SRH. Yuzuvendra Chahal and Arshdeep Singh clinched a wicket each.

Earlier, Punjab skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bat first. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran started with a blazing knock and scored 50 within 3 overs. However, wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Shreyas played a great innings of 82(36) after Prabhsimran departed for 46(23). At the end came Marcus Stoinis with an unbeaten cameo of 34(11) taking the PBKS' total to 245/6. For SRH, Harshal Patel clinched 4 wickets and Eshan Malinga managed to get 2.

Punjab and their fans might have thought that this would be enough but Hyderabadi openers had other plans. Abhishek shattered several records and became the highest-scoring Indian player in IPL history. In the top innings score list, he climbed to the 3rd spot with Chris Gayle (175*) on 1st and Brendon McCullum (158*) on 2nd.
