A serious road accident occurred around 4 AM near NBCC Square in the Shapoorji area of Newtown. According to initial reports, a car lost control due to overspeeding and rammed into a road divider. The impact was severe enough to cause the vehicle to overturn on the road, leaving the damaged car lying on its side. Eyewitnesses present at the scene said the car was being driven at a dangerously high speed moments before the driver failed to maintain control.
The crash triggered panic in the area as nearby residents and motorists gathered around the accident site. The condition of the occupants and the extent of injuries, if any, were not immediately confirmed following the incident.
