Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has filed a formal complaint against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma over a video statement in which the latter allegedly used the phrase “point blank shot.” The complaint has intensified political tensions and triggered sharp reactions across party lines.
According to the complaint, Owaisi objected to the content and tone of the video, alleging that the statement was provocative and could incite unrest. He urged the authorities to take cognisance of the remarks and initiate appropriate action under relevant legal provisions. The video, which has been widely circulated on social media, has drawn criticism from opposition leaders, who accused the Assam Chief Minister of making irresponsible and inflammatory comments. They argued that such statements undermine constitutional values and social harmony.
The ruling party, however, defended Himanta Biswa Sharma, asserting that his remarks were being misinterpreted and taken out of context. The matter is now under consideration following the filing of the complaint, with further action expected as per procedure.
