Pakistan's mindset built on terror, not tourism, says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public rally in Bhuj, Gujarat, launched a sharp attack on Pakistan, accusing it of using terrorism as state policy and posing a serious global threat. He drew a stark contrast between India’s vision of tourism and Pakistan’s reliance on terror.

“India believes in tourism. It unites people. But Pakistan thinks terrorism is tourism. This is a big danger for the entire world,” the Prime Minister said while addressing the crowd.

PM Modi was referring to the recent Indian military response—Operation Sindoor—carried out on May 6-7 in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack where 26 civilians, mostly tourists, were killed. The operation targeted nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, hitting infrastructure linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.

“We waited 15 days for Pakistan to act. When nothing happened, we responded. Whoever tries to hurt us will get an equal answer. Operation Sindoor was our message — we won’t tolerate terror,” he said.

Issuing a warning to Pakistan, the Prime Minister said peace was still an option if the country chose to abandon terrorism. Otherwise, he said, “My bullet is always ready.” He also claimed Pakistan’s airbases were still recovering from India’s strike and praised the armed forces for their decisive action.
