Pamela Chopra, wife of late Yash Raj Films founder and director Yash Chopra, has died at the age of 85 in Mumbai. She has been hospitalized for the past 15 days due to health issues, as per reports.
According to reports, she was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai and was put on a ventilator. However, more details about her funeral and last rites are yet to be confirmed by the family.
Pamela was a well-known singer, writer, costume designer and co-producer of many YRF projects. Her notable works as a writer include Silsila, Sawaal and Kabhie Kabhie. She was last seen in the Netflix documentary The Romantics where she shared her husband Yash Chopra's journey in the film industry.
On the show, she also recalled the time when the legendary filmmaker had many sleepless nights before the release of the 1973 film Daag, which he produced. Pamela also co-wrote several screenplays with Yash Chopra including Dil Toh Pagal Hai. In the film, she made her silver screen debut in the opening song titled Ek Duje Ke Vaaste.
