The Patna High Court on Thursday stayed the publication of interview results for the appointment of Assistant Professors in the Department of Psychology in various universities in Bihar.
A single justice, Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, while hearing the writ petitions of Vasundhara Raj and Sangeeta Kumari, sought a reply from the Bihar State University Service Commission and restrained it from releasing the interview results.
The petitioners claimed that they were not invited for the interview despite sending their NCL certificate to the commission, which was allegedly not taken into account. Since such action by the commission was arbitrary, the petitioners prayed for urgent judicial intervention.
The case will be heard again after two weeks.
