Minor girl allegedly raped, found dead in Bengal; Violent protests erupt
A significant scandal has emerged in Patna, where the Bihar Police have arrested 13 individuals in connection with the alleged leak of the NEET-UG 2024 question paper. Among those detained is a beneficiary who secured a NEET rank of 71,000, highlighting the extent of the malpractice. The investigation, now led by the Economic Offences Unit (EOU), uncovered that around 35 aspirants received the leaked question papers before the exam on May 5.
The arrests include four examinees and their family members, with one individual also implicated in a separate Teachers Recruitment Exam (TRE) paper leak case. The NEET-UG 2024 results, which were anticipated on June 14, are now under scrutiny, raising concerns about the fairness and integrity of the examination process. Authorities have seized incriminating documents and electronic devices from the accused, and further investigations are ongoing to unravel the full extent of the leak.
