Trump asks Apple CEO not to manufacture in India, says 'they can take care of themselves'
On Friday, May 9, players from Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals were transported from Dharamshala to Delhi amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. The teams, along with support staff and broadcasters, were part of a high-security operation involving a convoy of 40 to 50 small vehicles. Kangra police managed the escort until the Punjab border at Hoshiarpur, after which Punjab police took over and led the group to Jalandhar railway station. From there, they boarded a specially arranged train to the capital.
The evacuation follows the temporary suspension of the Indian Premier League after security concerns arose, including a match being abandoned due to a floodlight failure and nearby explosions triggering air-raid sirens. The BCCI is currently assessing whether to relocate the remainder of the tournament to safer locations to ensure the safety of players and spectators.
