Disruption in metro services between Dumdum and Dakshineswar; normal services resume after 2 hours
Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday participated on the discussion on on the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishta during the last session of the ongoing Budget session of Parliament ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Shah, in his speech in the lower house, stressed that millions are experiencing spiritual awakening after January 22 Pran Pratishtha of Ram temple in Ayodhya that will go down in history.
In a parallel discourse, Home Minister Amit Shah stirred controversy during a Lok Sabha discussion on the construction of the Ram temple, asserting, "January 22 is beginning of journey of great India… Those who imagine a country without lord Ram do not know our country well and they represent the days of colonialism."
Responding to Shah's remarks, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi raised concerns about the government's stance, questioning its impartiality and asserting the secular identity of India. Owaisi challenged the narrative, stating, "I want to ask if Modi Govt is the government of a particular community, religion or the government of the entire country? Does GoI have a religion?...Through 22nd January, does this govt want to give a message that one religion triumphed over the other?"
