PK's party accuses Nitish govt of Rs 14000 crores World Bank money used in Bihar Elections

Fresh off Bihar's nail-biting 2025 assembly polls where the NDA swept back to power with a whopping 202 seats, Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party has dropped a bombshell, alleging that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's government siphoned off a massive Rs 14,000 crore from a World Bank loan to fuel an epic vote-buying spree through doles and freebies. With over 66% voter turnout—the highest since 1951—the two-phase elections on November 6 and 11 saw BJP grabs 89 seats, JDU 85, and allies like Chirag Paswan's LJP(RV) 19, while the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan crumbles down at just 35 seats, marking RJD's worst show since 2010.

But Jan Suraaj, making its debut splash, claims the NDA's landslide was no organic win; instead, it was bought with public cash, including Rs 40,000 crores spent in Bihar Elections since June to sway the masses, turning what should have been a fair fight into a money-fueled frenzy that left true voices like theirs shut out with zero seats.

Diving deeper, Jan Suraaj party national president Uday Singh claims that the Rs 14,000 crores chunk came from a Rs 21,000 crore World Bank fund meant for development projects, but refers to Rs 10,000 transferred to the bank accounts of women in the state under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana—transfers hitting bank accounts right up to a day before voting, cheekily skirting the model code of conduct. Tthis post-poll broadside from Kishor's is a clarion call against the cash carousel that's allegedly hijacked democracy, urging scrutiny on how foreign loans meant for roads and schools end up as ballot bait
