Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress for its policy of "divide and rule" and alleged that the party has consistently set records in corruption. During a rally in support of the BJP in Madhya Pradesh's Neemuch district, he accused the Congress of standing with foreign elements who conspire against India and claimed that, for the country's oldest political party, Lord Ram is considered an "imaginary" character. Modi emphasized that India's stature is growing on the global stage due to the BJP government's tough decisions, which the Congress cannot digest.
The Prime Minister highlighted the BJP's success in plugging leakages in welfare schemes through the trinity of 'Mobile, Aadhaar, and bank accounts' (Jan Dhan) and the direct transfer of ₹2.60 lakh crore under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme to beneficiaries' bank accounts. He also pointed out the significant difference in housing approvals between the Congress regime and the BJP's 'double-engine' government.
