In the ongoing Uttarkashi tunnel rescue operation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to receive updates on the progress of the rescue efforts, now in its 11th day. CM Dhami shared with the Prime Minister the positive developments made in the last 24 hours. The rescue teams, facing challenges in reaching the trapped workers, have shifted their focus to sustaining them by providing solid, hot meals. A significant breakthrough occurred as a location for vertical drilling was identified, facilitated by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) making roads near the tunnel site. With more than 350 meters of road construction complete, the agencies are intensifying their efforts to reach the 41 workers trapped since the tunnel collapse on October 12.
