Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, unveiled a slew of developmental projects valued at Rs 55,600 crore in the Northeast region, notably inaugurating the strategically significant Sela Tunnel aimed at ensuring all-weather connectivity to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The inauguration ceremony, held in Itanagar, witnessed the Prime Minister inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for projects spanning Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. During the event, Modi addressed the crowd, asserting that the opposition's attacks stem from his government's dedicated efforts towards the nation's progress, emphasizing that his administration has accomplished in five years what would have taken the Congress party two decades to achieve in the North-East.
During this, the Prime Minister said that the entire North-East is watching how Modi's guarantee is working. He said that Modi is working for the development of the country, that is why the opposition leaders are attacking. Prime Minister Modi said that it would have taken 20 years for Congress to do what we have done in the North-East in the last five years.
