Bollywood actress Lara Dutta recently weighed in on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's controversial speech in Rajasthan, commending him for his courage to express his beliefs despite potential backlash. In her statement, she highlighted that like actors, the Prime Minister is also susceptible to criticism in the country.
Addressing the issue of criticism and the fear of upsetting certain groups, Lara remarked, "One cannot keep treading on eggshells."
"It's very difficult for any we are all human beings at the end of the day it is very difficult to keep all the people happy all the time and if the if we are not exempt from trolling neither is the PM of this country, but I think all of us take that in our stride you can't keep weighing and treading on eggshells just because you don't want to upset one side or the other side."
PM Modi's speech in Banswara, Rajasthan, stirred controversy nationwide. He questioned the previous government's stance on wealth distribution, particularly regarding Muslims, stating, "When Congress was in power, they said Muslims have the first right to the wealth of the nation. Jinke zyada bacche hain, unko baatenge, ghuspaithiyon ko baatenge. Should you hard-earned money be distributed amongst infiltrators. Bhaiyon aur behno, yeh Urban Naxal ki soch, meri mataon, behno, aapka mangalsutra bhi bachne nahi denge," he added.
